The United Nations in São Tomé and Príncipe is pleased to launch its 2025 Annual Results Report, highlighting the key progress achieved throughout the year in close partnership with the Government, development partners, civil society, and the private sector.The report showcases concrete results delivered across priority areas including health, education, gender equality, youth empowerment and employment, climate action, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, justice, and inclusive governance.Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and aligned with national priorities, the United Nations continued to support São Tomé and Príncipe through integrated and people-centred solutions aimed at accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).From expanding access to clean energy in schools and health facilities, to strengthening digital health systems, supporting youth entrepreneurship, advancing climate resilience, and reinforcing inclusive institutions, the report reflects the collective impact of the One UN approach in the country.Beyond achievements, the report also outlines the challenges faced in an increasingly complex global and national context, while presenting key priorities and strategic directions for 2026.This publication reaffirms the United Nations’ commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable development, placing people and partnerships at the centre of its work.Discover the full report and learn more about how the United Nations and its partners are supporting a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future for São Tomé and Príncipe.
